Hailey Ford Coburn
Hailey Ford Coburn, a native of Houston, TX, is excited to direct her second musical at the ACTS theatre. Her directing debut was last spring in Seussical the Musical. Hailey began singing at a very early age, and has studied voice, acting, and dancing for many years. As a singer, she has performed in various productions and venues across the country including Carnegie Hall and the Tampa Performing Arts Center, as well as internationally in nine foreign countries. Since living in the Lake Charles area, Hailey has performed in several musicals at the ACTS theatre including Kiss Me Kate as “Kate/ Lilli Vanessi,” Into the Woods as “The Witch,” and most recently, White Christmas as “Betty Haynes.” Hailey holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Music Degree in musical theatre from Oklahoma City University. During her time in graduate school, she honed her skills as a performer, and was honored to workshop with casting director Dave Clemmons, and Tony Nominee Kelly O’Hara.
After school, Hailey has directed numerous school and church productions. Currently, Hailey is proud to be the Choral Director at Sulphur High School. Her choirs have performed all over the Lake area and won awards at both District and State Festivals.
When she’s not directing or performing, however, she can be seen on Sunday mornings leading worship alongside her husband, Bo. Bo and Hailey live in Sulphur, LA with their furry four-legged children, Mayzie and Nala. They are also excited to announce that they are expecting their first TWO-legged child in November of this year!
Hailey would like to thank the ACTS Board for their support in this production. She would also like to thank her family, her church family, and her husband, Bo for his enduring love and support in every hectic moment of this endeavor. Most importantly, she gives credit and honor to Jesus Christ, the Savior for his abundant love and blessings!
