Adley Cormier

The guest director for The Importance of Being Earnest is Adley Cormier. He is a native of Breaux Bridge, was educated in Canada and is a graduate of LSU. He has worked intensively in theater for over 40 years. He designed, acted, written, or directed over 250 productions including work with LSU, the American College Theatre Festival, three decades with Lake Charles Little Theatre, joint productions with LC Symphony and Masterworks, professional theater off-Broadway and with Carolyn Woosley's Louisiana Women project. Most recently he directed his own translation of Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid for McNeese State University. He retired from the Labor Department in 2007, but remains active with downtown and historic preservation issues. He and wife, artist Melinda Antoon, live with two cats in a 110 year old house in Lake Charles.
